HAPPY SCHOOLING HAPPY LEARNING AT D.A.V. SCHOOL, SANTHAVELUR
The Foundational Stage is a single curricular and pedagogical phase which comprises five years of flexible, multilevel, play and activity-based learning for children between 3 and 8 years of age and these early years as critical to development and learning.
Children are natural learners, eager to learn and curious. They learn best through play, which involves activities and doing. This playfulness helps develop creativity, flexible thinking, and problem-solving abilities, while enhancing concentration, attention, and perseverance. Children improve their thinking, vocabulary, imagination, speaking, and listening skills through play. Learning at this stage is an active and interactive process, involving active participation with others and natural materials. Nurturing relationships with those around them helps children feel safe, become more optimistic, curious, and communicative.
